Developed in partnership with Birmingham Central Library ("BCL"), Chamberlain Square, Birmingham B3 3HQ.
Please note BCL retains full copyright of the images, and the use of such content is governed by the BCL's Terms of Use.
If there is any conflict between the following Terms and Conditions and rules and/or specific terms of use appearing on this site relating to specific material, such as the BCL images, then the latter shall prevail.
User Agreement
1 Definitions
In these terms and conditions:
1.1 'site' means www.inspirationbank.com and/or www.mediacontentlab.com;
1.2 'our', 'we' and 'us' means Inspiration Bank, Media Content Lab and Birmingham City University and, where applicable, its officers, employees and authorised agents; and
1.3 'you' and 'your' include any business with which you are associated and on behalf of which you use our site ("your business").
2 General
2.1 Though we endeavour to ensure the accuracy of the information placed on this website we do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy or correctness of such information or of any other content, description or material placed on or referred to on this website. We do not warrant that the website, its content or the server that makes it available are error or virus free or free of other harmful components or that your use of this website will be uninterrupted.
2.2 This site is partly financed by the European Regional Development Fund. Without support from the fund we would be unable to deliver this activity. Please note that we are obliged to gather user information and report any activity on the use of this site. See privacy policy
3 Registration
3.1 Use of this site constitutes your acknowledgement and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, which take effect on the date on which you first register on the site. By accessing and using materials from this site, you agree on your own behalf and on behalf of each entity and person on whose behalf you act, to abide by the terms and conditions set forth below.
3.2 We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions and revise the content of the site at any time without notice. Any changes will be posted on our site and it is your responsibility to refer to and comply with these terms on accessing the site. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions as modified.
3.3 User registration is required for our system to recognise you. The information that you give us is held by us to provide you with a full service:
- To provide you with a personal space on our site for you to bookmark, store and monitor specific site content, for example but without limitation, the Inspire Me 'Personal Album' feature
- To monitor your behaviour, to ensure our products and services continue to meet your needs, as an aid to future site development
- To inform you of Inspiration Bank, Media Skills Bank and Media Talent Bank products and services that may interest you (if you 'opt in')
3.4 Your Profile
You must ensure that the details provided by you on registration or at any time thereafter are correct and complete by updating your profile. You can check and amend the information held about you at any time.
3.5 Password and Security
When you register you will be asked to create a password. You must keep this password confidential and must not disclose it or share it with anyone. You will be responsible for all actions that occur, including upload of information or comment, that is submitted under your password.
If you suspect that someone else knows your password you should notify us by contacting info@inspirationbank.com immediately.
3.6 Use of Your Information
By registering you agree that we may collect, store, and use information about you in accordance with our privacy policy. You acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of our privacy policy.
3.7 Suspension or Cancellation of Registration
We may suspend or cancel your registration immediately at our reasonable discretion or if you breach any of your obligations under these Terms and Conditions.

7 Governing Law
7.1 Use of this site means you agree to the terms and conditions of use of this site, which constitutes a contract governed by English Law. This policy covers how BCU treats personal information that it collects and receives, including information profiles.
9.1 Data Protection Act 1998 - The information provided may be shared with the European Regional Development Fund, Government Office (West Midlands) and BCU auditors for administrative, audit, statistical and research purposes.
9.2 Registered users may be required to provide detailed information and feedback, when requested, as part of our audit process.
9.3 BCU does not rent or sell personal information about you to other people or non-affiliated companies.
9.4 BCU automatically receives and records information on its server, this includes logs from your browser, your IP address, cookie information, and the pages you request.
9.5 Website administrators only have access to personal information that we believe is strictly necessary for them to do their job.
9.6 Use of Cookies
We do not store any of your personal information in cookies. The only information stored in the cookie is a randomly generated string of digits (automatically created by the web server) which are used as a means of identifying your computer to the web server. Unless you specify otherwise in your 'User Preferences', the cookie will be deleted by your web browser upon leaving the site.

Birmingham Central Library ("BCL") retains full copyright of the images featured in 'Inspire Me', Inspiration Bank's image bank.
11 Use of Image Bank Content
11.1 You acknowledge that the Image Bank contains information, text, images and other material (collectively, the "Content") that is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights of BCL and third parties. All Content on the Image Bank is protected by copyright as a collective work of BCL, pursuant to applicable copyright law. You agree to comply with any additional copyright notices, information, all conditions or restrictions described here or contained in any Content available on or accessed through the Image Bank.
11.2 Users of the Image Bank may use the Content only for personal and study purposes, the purposes of your own private study or non-commercial research.
11.3 You may not publish or distribute to the public any Content to any third party, except as expressly permitted in this Agreement.
11.4 You may only download, or copy or print the Content for the purposes of your own private study or non-commercial research. You shall not store electronically any significant portion of the Content, except as expressly permitted by the copyright laws. No copying, storage, redistribution or publication of any Content is permitted without the express permission of BCL or the owners of such Content or their authorised persons, if other than BCL.
